You must audition in order to be considered for a placement into Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive. Students may only audition once each year. Online pre-registration is required for all auditions. Registrations are open until May 19, 2025.
Dancers who have participated in past Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensives must audition. Past participation does not guarantee you a place in KBI.

Eligibility
To audition for KBI:
You must be between the ages of 13 and 18 during the KBI.
be available for the entire program
be fully immunized according to the NYS Immunization Requirements for School Attendance
are encouraged to be vaccinated against COVID-19 with a FDA or WHO authorized vaccine
have a minimum of 2 years of prior training in pointe work required
Students are expected to carry personal medical insurance for the risk of accidents and illness. Make sure your Health Insurance policy provides for out of town/state routine and emergency care. If not, you must take out a temporary rider for the duration of KBI.

Online on Zoom. Link to Zoom will be emailed to registrants on March 29th.
The Zoom audition will take place online, led by Kaatsbaan’s KBI Faculty Lorin Mathis. KBI Artistic Director, Paloma Herrera will also be at the audition.
VIDEO SUBMISSIONS
Video auditions for KBI 2025 will be accepted until
March 22, 2025 [DEADLINE EXTENDED].
Video footage of performances and/or variations will not be accepted. Your audition should be no more than 10 minutes in length.
