Kaatsbaan is dedicated to integrating dance into the lives of our youth and community through dance education workshops, special performances, open rehearsals, lecture demonstrations, coaching and training. Dance is recognized as an educational tool instilling focus, discipline, and patience into the learning skills of students and children of all abilities.

 

Kaatsbaan has brought the finest dance teachers, coaches and educators in the world to Dutchess County, New York. These highly-acclaimed individuals have designed dance programs for thousands of area school students.

Winter Session - Week of January 7- March 18, 2019

Week of March 25, 2019 is for make-up classes

Spring Session - Week of April 1 - June 10, 2019

Should any make-up classes be needed for the spring session, they will be held on Saturdays.

Tuition:

Winter Session(11 weeks) Children's Classes = $165

Spring Session (10 weeks) Children's Classes = $150.00

 

(10% tuition reduction for families with two or more children enrolled)

Tuition for Adult Classes = $120, with castanets = $160

Walk-ins = $20 per class, with castanets = $28 per class

Kati Garcia-Renart, Academy Director

(Creative Dance, Ballet, and Flamenco)

 

Kati Garcia-Renart graduated with a dance major from Bard College where she was introduced to flamenco by Aileen Passloff. Ms. Garcia-Renart spent nine years in Madrid, Spain, studying and performing flamenco and modern dance at venues including The Centro Cultural de la Villa. She has also taught and performed throughout the United States, extensively on the west coast including The Raymond Kabbaz in Los Angeles, locally at the Bardavon Opera House, Kaatsbaan, Rhinebeck Performing Arts Center, Vassar and Bard Colleges. Ms. Garcia-Renart is a dedicated dance teacher and she has taught students of all ages and backgrounds for the past 17 years. For the past 10 years she has been the flamenco instructor at Extreme Ballet, Kaatsbaan's internationally recognized summer intensive program. She is currently on the dance faculty at Bard College at Simon's Rock in Great Barrington, Berkshire Pulse in Housatonic, MA as well as heading the faculty at the Kaatsbaan Academy of Dance.
